Dolphin Research Center at Grassy Key, in the Florida Keys, was a wonderful place to go learn about these beautiful mammals. The people at Dolphin Research Center seem to truly care about these creatures. The dolphins will "perform" some tricks for you if you go to see them, but unlike Sea World or those types of places, it seems that it is the dolphins running the show for their own entertainment. We were also happy to see many schools of wild dolphins on one of our excursions to Ocracoke Island. Of course, they were too far out for good pictures. We would have a web page up for Ocracoke, but Phil Platt of the Pelican Inn Bed and Breakfast says that if we tell anyone about him, he'll be swamped with too much business.
