Kurt's 40th Birthday Derf

Welcome to the OuterCon Derf Page. "Derfing" is the wonderful art of performing intricate pranks on people who appreciate them one way or another. This was a long standing tradition originating with Learning Tree Software in 1987 on a Kurt's birthday goneby. Derfs evolved with time, leading to this one for Kurt's 40th.

The Birthday Derf

The Derf was performed by:

• a loose association of losers, one of whom used to work for:
  InterCon Systems Corporation,
  

  Which used to be the top Internet software company for the Macintosh.

  Kurt was the President and co-founder. He has an even more important position now, however, being Chief Derfee for 6/15/99. One must always have one's PissBoy close to hand.
  Poor Kurt came home to some interesting scenes on his front lawn. One can never have too many pig sprinklers or too many flamingos.

  
  
  
  But was that all? Hell NO! We had to do tons more. Lots of work with several accomplices. Very important that this go off well. You see, Kurt is a wine lover in a big way. He has wine in every nook and cranny of his house. We thought we would help him with his collection of fine and highly rated wines, by adding some beautiful bouquets such as Wild Irish Rose, Mateus, Gallo, Boones Farm (many varieties) and a gallon of Inglenook. Love that Strawberry fizzy Boones Farm!

  
  But wait, there's more! Lots more. Poor Kurt found a friend in the bathroom. It was an interesting friend who loves him very much. Hello Sailor.

  
  It gets worse. "How could it get worse?" you might ask. Well, it can. Imagine, if you will, a squirting dog, a disgusting gnome type creature that says "wipe your feet, please" whenver you go near the front door, another disgusting gnome type creature who holds your toilet paper and his nose (presumably for bathroom use), more flamingos standing as entry guards to the house itself, Boones Farm in the medicine cabinet, and Wild Irish Rose under the pillows.
