The Adventures of the R22 POH

It's all Susanna's fault. Susanna Corcoles (also known as Susanna Coriolis, but don't tell her that. She gets really annoyed) is the helicopter instructor at Advanced Helicopters in Frederick, Maryland. Susanna had me ready to solo the R22 when, on the way to the airport, the DAY of the solo, a complete nincompoop decided to run a red light and smash into the side of my SUV. He smooshed it all up and gave me some minor injuries. No solo that day.

So, to rehab my poor brain, we decided to go on a cruise. You can see all about the cruise, use this link . When I told Susanna I was leaving, she informed me that I was required to bring the R22 manual along with me. Of course, she didn't say I had to READ it.

The R22 manual (affectionately known as Manuel) went to some of the most exciting hot spots in the Carribean. The R22 lounged on the veranda, went to breakfast, lunch and dinner, and to shore excursions. We had everyone from the butler, to the photographer, to our dinner companions holding the R22 manual to prove that it actually went with us on vacation.
