Our Trip to Florida

As part of our never ending mission to seek out good restaurants wherever we may find them, and to generally have as much fun as humanly possible, your lovely pals at CyberFlight set off on a dramatic quest to Florida. Since this quest of course included an escape from cold and icky temperatures rampant in the Metropolitan DC area, the goal of heading South was indeed a noble one. Our first stop after refueling in Charleston, SC, was to visit our friendly FBO friends at Kissimmee Aviation, who kindly waited for us even after the FBO had closed. For this we will be ever grateful, since otherwise we wouldn't have had a car, or a hotel.

A secret part of our trip was to photograph as many "Kodak Photo Spots" as we possibly could. If anyone from Kodak is reading, Cyberflight is available for shameless consulting on proper placement of Kodak Photo Spots. We require first class transportation and accommodations, plenty of money, and, of course, free film. Since we have a digital camera, that part should be quite cheap.

After Sea World (including a friendly dolphin and an embarrassing picture of Mikki with Santa Shamu ), we went to Disney's MGM Studios, and Universal Studios. Soon after, the cold followed us, and we went off to sunny Miami (or at least it was sunny when we got there).

In Miami, we stayed at the Fountainbleu Hilton with magnificent views and a wonderful beach. Unfortunately, the first room they gave us had mildew in the bathroom, a stopper that you couldn't put back in the tub, bunched up carpeting and peeling wallpaper. We had reserved (and were being charged for) beach front, but even at night we could see that wasn't what we got. The next room they gave us was better, with a wonderful view out the window, but we still had fun with mildew and a "family from hell" next door that we had to call security on three times.

Despite the strangeness, we got to see Parrot Jungle where I'd always wanted to go, and had a wonderful, fun time.

CyberFlight is an equal opportunity employer. Even strange people like Mikki. They don't get paid anything, but you can change all that. Then Mikki can leave her job in the circus.
